Burkhart was a proud sponsor of Lowrance Dental’s 2023 “D-Day for V-Day” Charity Event
Burkhart partnered with Lowrance Dental for their annual Veteran’s Day charity event serving veterans of North Texas.
In 2017 Dr. Stan Lowrance started offering a no-cost dental day for veterans and has continued the tradition annually.
Dr. Stan and his daughter Dr. Shanae Lowrance, as well as a group of volunteers comprised of dentists, assistants, and hygienists, donate a full-day dental clinic each year.
Treatment of each veteran consists of an exam, followed by a cleaning and a first-line dental procedure, if necessary, such as a filling or extraction. They also provide follow-up services as needed.
In addition, they accept donations to ‘sponsor’ a veteran – a gift of $40 allows a veteran to receive an Oral-B Electric toothbrush, Pro-Health mouthwash, toothpaste, floss picks, and a shirt.
Lowrance Dental works in partnership with the Rockwall Terry Fisher American Legion Post 117 to help schedule the veterans and has a variety of local sponsors. Burkhart has been a sponsor since 2018.
Service Technician Dustin Kile was on-site to assist and brought Burkhart loaner sterilizers and Cavitrons for use during the day, enabling the practice to treat a whopping 84 veterans this year, including some who served in WWII.
