Lecture and Q&A with Lea Al Matny, DDS, MS

Free for All ADS Members and New Dentists

Course Description

Digital imaging has become one of the most important diagnostic tools for oral health professionals. CBCT, specifically, has been widely adapted after it demonstrated a great impact in implant placement, orthodontic evaluation, complicated extractions and endodontic diagnosis. Are we, however, fully realizing the benefits of this technology?

In this session, we will discuss how CBCT imaging can help us approach cases in a comprehensive manner compared to two-dimensional imaging. We will also review the impact it can have on the diagnosis of fractures, resorption, intraosseous pathosis, and more. Then, we will dive deep in the 3D software and focus on efficiently manipulating CBCT scans, and review the 5 most important tools you need.

Course Objectives

At the completion of the course, participants will be able to:
• Recognize the impact three-dimensional imaging can have on diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Understand the benefits of CBCT in a practice beyond implant planning.
• Establish an efficient system to review and manipulate CBCT scans.
